Good Samaritan: VaporRemed A friend in Need: A case study at a Post Office in PA

This real incident happened at a local post office in Pennsylvania. One of our old (2011) satisfied customers, Edwin Dunkley, owner of Chester County Home Inspections, entered a local post office in 2025 and was greeted with a strong odor of heating oil. The GOOD SAMARITAN inquired inside about the action they had taken. Below are the transcript of emails we received from this GREAT GENTLEMAN.

“4/9/25: Hi Satya. There was an oil spill in the Post Office, it happened a few days ago. It is a strong smell. I shared with them my experience with VaporRemed, but they seemed sceptical. Maybe you could give them a call? If you think samples would be suitable to demonstrate the efficiency, then I'd be happy to go demonstrate it for them. You may have my addresses on file.

4/9/25: I would like the Post Office to check and if they like they could order on our online shop https://shop.sarvabioremed.com/ Right now I am sending 2 spray bottles. We could supply 1 or 2 gallons as needed and they could pay us when they are satisfied. I hope I am not inconveniencing you, Satya

4/9/25: That is no inconvenience at all! I was just back at the post office for a different package, and I asked them to take a picture of the whole area of the spill with my phone. This is what they took. So it does not appear to be a big area but nonetheless, it is a strong smell. I'm just dealing with a post office clerk, she said the office manager needs to make the decision. In the meantime, the samples I'm sure would be helpful to convince them.

4/10/25: You're a good man, Satya. Thanks for sending the samples.

They let me into the building to assess. There was a spill during a furnace service and/or filter change. They say it is worse after the furnace starts. It is a single-floor slab building - everything and everyone on the same level, there's no escaping the fumes. The spill area is indeed small. What I thought was a box from the picture, is actually the furnace cabinet. I sprayed the floor in the area of the picture, and also inside the cabinet and around the oil filter, pump, and lines. I could not tell if the air filter also had oil on it, but I sprayed a little on the air filter also, just in case. There is a possibility that there might be oil under the cabinet which is sitting directly on the slab. Now that I know where they are dealing with, I will go back tomorrow morning with cleaning supplies and a new air filter. I only used 1/2 of one sample, so I have enough for three more similar treatments. That should be more than enough. They are very grateful and are expecting to pay you for this remedy. Please send me an invoice which I will leave with the office manager.

I am so fortunate to know you.

4/15/25: Hello Satya. Here's the contact info for the Post Office. You could mail the invoice to the PO directly, or send it to me and I'll take it from there.

Progress updates:

I applied VaporRemed last Thursday. On Friday the smell was noticeably better but still there. I forgot to go on Saturday. Yesterday there was only a faint smell. I asked if they had cleaned but they said they have not. Today, Tuesday, there was not a trace of oil smell! Even the lobby which is closed off from the rest of the building and which had a noticeable oil smell in the past week, was devoid of oil smell. VaporRemed to the rescue again! That stuff is amazing.”

The total product cost was $24.82, including Sales Tax. The total time taken for mitigation of the strong odors was less than 5 days, including Saturday and Sunday. This GOOD SAMARITAN helped the staff breathe easily, free from any toxic odor, at a fraction of the cost. He did not even charge the Post Office for his service. It is possible that the Post Office was concerned that the likely cost of cleanup would be beyond their resources.

Thank you, GOOD SAMARITAN.
